Baseline Sports Construction, LLC began surfacing tennis courts in 1982 as Empire Recreational Surfaces, and grew into a full service recreational contracting company providing a wide-range of services such as tennis court construction, running track construction, indoor sports facility construction, and artificial turf construction. 

Baseline serves the southeastern region and is a licensed contractor in the states of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Virginia, and West Virginia.  Our services have grown to include consulting on recreational facility construction outside our geographic area as well as full service construction work throughout the Southeast.

	The president of the corporation is Will Ferguson who has been with Empire/Baseline for over 26 years. Will has been designated by the American Sports Builders Association (formerly the United States Tennis Court and Track Builders Association) as Certified Tennis Court Builder.
	David Clapp, Baseline's Vice President, has been with Baseline for over 20 years, has a Degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Tennessee. He has been designated by the American Sports Builders Association (formerly the United States Tennis Court and Track Builders Association) as Certified Tennis Court Builder. David has also earned the additional designation of Certified Track Builder from the Association.
	Kern Spangler has over 50 years experience in the commercial fencing business.
	Kent Harrison has a degree in Economics from Maryville College, and has over 15 years experience in both corporate and non-profit business.

Baseline has incorporated the same people and experience that were successful at Empire.  Our goal as a corporation is to provide excellent services and products to the construction industry.  Reliability and integrity are important in our work. We focus on "Bringing Excellence to the Surface."
